WanHai adopts five hundred orphans in the South Asia disaster area

For response from the Government Information Office,「The Day After Tomorrow, Ten Thousand Wishes」-sending loves to South Asia- was planned by the government and the mass media, for tsunami victims of South Asia. WanHai was the first shipping company to donate NT$ 18 million on Jan. 7 for adopting five hundred children in South Asia disaster area.
Loves from WanHai never falls behind. For the rescue to South Asia victims, WanHai voluntarily offer hundreds of containers to deliver relief goods and staffs all over the world spontaneously make contributions of NT$ 3 million. More than these, Responding to the event「The Day After Tomorrow, Ten Thousand Wishes」, WanHai adopts five hundred orphans in the South Asia disaster area and donates totally NT$18 million on Jan. 7, the news released by the GIO. According to the evaluation, each child in South Asia needs NT$ one thousand a month for support, expecting to carry it out in three years; hence it totally takes NT$ 360 million for ten thousand children.
